DEKA is looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a product team developing a new medical device. This is an on-site role, remote and hybrid are not available.
How you will make an impact as a Junior Software Engineer:
- Design, implement, and verify safety-critical embedded and UI software across the full development lifecycle, from concept through production and field support.
- Involvement in network communications, graphical user interfaces, complex modeling, cryptographic operations and real world interfaces
- Experience with multithreaded systems and asynchronous messaging
- A solid understanding of, and 1 year experience with, Python, C and C++
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience (5 years)
- Experience using source control systems and working in a multi-developer environment
- Experience in testing software, through unit testing to full software system testing
- Experience in technical software requirement writing
- Experience in software documentation
- Ability to communicate complex design and technical issues verbally and in writing
- Experience with network communication implementation a plus
- Experience Android and iOS application development is a plus
- Experience with Jenkins machines is a plus
- Experience in development of designing software testing infrastructure is a plus
- Familiarity with the manufacturing process and manufacturing tools a plus
