We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for process development, build development and transition to manufacturing of complex mechanical assemblies. This key role requires cross functional effectiveness both internally and externally with the project team, customers, suppliers and partners.

- Develop and maintain bill of materials, line layout, production control methods, clear assembly instructions, fixtures, and pFMEA’s
- Plan, conduct and execute pre-production builds, with a vision for volume production
- Work collaboratively with engineering team to develop robust, production-ready designs
- Consult with suppliers to determine product specifications, working with supply chain team to purchase equipment, materials, and parts
- Interface with manufacturing partners for all stages of design transfer to ensure products meet performance criteria, delivering a quality product on-time
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 2 – 5 years experience preferred or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 – 6 years experience preferred. Strong candidates with less experience may be considered
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma or “green” manufacturing a plus
- Experience with CAD software, Soilidworks preferred
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
- Medical device experience a plus
- Experience setting up a manufacturing assembly line with scalability to ramp production
- Knowledge of component forming processes, assembly processes, and production line optimization
- Experience with electromechanical assembly
- Experience with design for manufacturability and design transfer
- Passionate about understanding how things work, and solving tough technical problems
- Strong communication and time management skills
