How You Will Make an Impact:
Project Coordination and Administration — 30%
- Manage priorities, project plans and action items across multiple concurrent efforts.
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, logistics, materials, and follow-up.
- Support communications with internal teams, and external partners.
- Manage travel, events, expenses, and other administrative needs.
- Plan and coordinate conferences, workshops, and roundtables, including logistics, participant engagement, and synthesis of discussion outcomes.
- Ensure commitments are completed and important details do not fall through the cracks.
- Conduct market, customer, competitor, industry, business, and financial research.
- Support market sizing, business cases, reporting, and commercialization plans.
- Evaluate potential customers, use cases, partners, business models, and routes to market.
- Translate complex information into clear recommendations and executive presentations.
- Review and edit deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality before they reach internal or external audiences.
- Take ownership of high-priority and often ambiguous projects.
- Quickly assess unfamiliar challenges and determine the path forward.
- Identify roadblocks, develop practical solutions, and coordinate execution.
- Support strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, events, and time-sensitive initiatives.
- Step into gaps and do what is needed to achieve the desired outcome.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., M.A. in economics or a related analytical discipline) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business market research, project coordination, business operations, consulting, strategy, or a related role.
- Exceptional organizational and project-management skills.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information from diverse sources into concise, decision-ready deliverables.
- Demonstrated competitive and industry analysis skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong editing and quality-review instincts.
- Experience producing executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations for varied audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; comfort using Excel to track, organize, and analyze project and research data.
- Comfort working across functions and with external stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
- Impeccable judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- High initiative, accountability, and follow-through, with the ability to work independently and drive work to completion with minimal oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities — balancing short-turnaround requests against longer-term analytical work — in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Adaptability and a collaborative approach as business needs evolve.
- Genuine interest in technology, engineering, innovation, and commercialization.
- Must be able to work on-site at DEKA five days per week and respond to occasional urgent requests outside standard business hours.
