The Role

As System Architect for DEKA's rapidly growing Autonomous Robotics team, you will have a unique opportunity to define and implement an architecture that takes advantage of the latest advances in Perception, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Motion Planning, and Controls to power state-of-the-art technology to improve lives. You'll be hands on, working with teams across DEKA building, designing, and shipping projects that have a positive, enduring impact on millions of people worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Define system and software architectures for autonomous vehicles including aspects such as safety, security, reliability and availability
Develop and maintain the functional and technical system architecture on different abstraction levels
Map the functional requirements to hardware components
Assist in defining machine-learning algorithms for application in autonomous driving

Requirements:

Masters or PhD in CS, aerospace, robotics, or similar engineering field
4+years of experience in related position.
Extensive experience in system and high-performance computing design and development
Experience with CNNs or other learning for vision techniques
Experience with 3D and projective geometry
Experience with visual odometry, mapping, and SLAM
Experience with embedded systems and real time applications.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or other Cloud systems desired
Experience developing and shipping products in a commercial environment
